Split Rock Resort in Lake Harmony PA. http://www.splitrockresort.com/index.php
This promotion was given off site so I can not give a true opinion of the resort. From the pictures it did not look that nice on the outside or inside.
The promotion is to hear a 90 minute presentation: $50.00 gift certificate to either Olive Garden or Red Lobster, $25.00 visa card and 2 free airline tickets anywhere.
The gift certificates were exactly what they said they were, you could use them the same day. The free airline tickets were a joke. The salesman told us they were free because we were off site so they did not have to spend as much to get us to the timeshare, hence they used the money on something better for us. Well this is what we got. It is a voucher for 2 airline tickets that you have to send to Infinity Incentive Group with a $100 (2 people) money order. They will allow you to pick 3 dates for travel. Once the dates are decided on they will send you a bill for taxes, ticketing fees etc which usually amount to $600.00 or more. It is a true rip off. I would avoid at all cost. This was not worth my time.

Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa
Westgate Lakes Resport & Spa, Orlando FL www.timeshareorlando.com/resorts/westgate/resorts/lakes/studio.html
This was a very interesting timeshare. I felt like I was in Manhattan, NY. The place is huge with people everywhere. This would not be a place to come to relax.
The promotion: Free breakfast buffet or lunch buffet and $100.00.
We arrived on the property to find a line of people waiting to be admitted to the timeshare promotion. After waiting for 20 minutes or so we were brought into a room of about 500 people all being given the sales pitch. It was very busy and noisy. We were in time for lunch which turned out to be a hot dogs, some fixings, chips and bake beans. Our salesman was full of smiles, helpful and VERY high pressure. Once we turned him down he disappeared and we were left to find our own way out. The change was amazing. At check out we were given the $100.00 and it was over. The pressure was not worth my time, I was happy to leave.

RCI star rating: 5 Star Our rating: 4 Star
This resort has a beautiful reception area, plenty of heated pools, kiddie pools, swing sets and tennis courts. However anything to do with the lake is extra including swimming, jet skies, trampoline etc. The rooms are very nice and spacious and the staff will go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect for your stay. It is close to Disney.
Promotion - Free breakfast or lunch and free tickets to area attrations (Disney tickets, Sea World, Etc) The breakfast was a normal continential breakfast with a few hot items like eggs and sausage. Nothing to complain or brag about. You ate it while your tour guide waited. The tour was semi low pressure until you said "no" then you were brought to two other people that tried to sell you other things. It was a sigh of relief when we left. We received 6 tickets to Arabian Nights (we would not have received as many tickets if we choose Disney) It was worth the time spent.

Star rating 5 ***** Our rating 5 *****
A beautiful place. The resort sits right on the beach, has both an indoor and 3 outdoor heated pools, a wonderful water slide, a 250-foot lazy River and a interactive-aquatic playground for the little kids. The rooms are nice and spacious and they even have a beautiful 4 bedroom suite that you just have to see.
The promotion - You take their 90 minute tour you receive $100 in dinner certificate cards. The tour was NOT high pressure it was actually enjoyable. The gift was exactly as they said - $100 in gift certificates to Darden Resaurants. (Olive Garden, Longhorn ect) It was worth the tour.

Claimed to be a 5 star ***** Our rating 1 star *
Wow this was the worst timeshare I have ever visited. They call it a 5 star, I would consider it a 1 star. The place is worn down and very 70's. The beach was overgrown with weeds, the suites that they claimed were just built were small and cheap looking, the horse stables were the biggest joke.
The promotion was if we listened to their 90 minute talk we would receive a flat screen TV, $50.00 dinner, $100.00 in gas and a 3 night free vacation. The joke was on us. The flat screen TV was 5" x 5", did not get reception and was cheaper than cheap. To receive the $50.00 free dinner you had to send away to a company who would then send you ten $5.00 gift certificates to Oliver Garden or Red Lobster. The gas was the same. Each month you had to send in a $20.00 receipt and they would send you $20.00. You could not send all the receipts at the same time, you were allowed only 1 per month. If you missed a month - you lost. The free vacation was the same type of thing, we didn't bother to send it in. I would not waste my time on this promotion.
